About Dharmanomics

Economics guided by Dharma

A values-based economic perspective that places Dharma at the heart of prosperity, guiding individuals, businesses and societies toward ethical, inclusive and sustainable growth.

What is Dharmanomics?

Justice, harmony, human dignity and prosperity for all

Dharmanomics views economics not merely as a system of production and distribution, but as a noble path to cultivate justice, harmony and human dignity.

The pursuit of material well-being is inseparable from moral responsibility, social compassion and spiritual awareness. Wealth is measured not by accumulation alone, but by its capacity to create benefit, happiness and balance for people and nature.

Dharmanomics invites individuals and societies to work, create and manage resources with mindfulness, free from attachment and greed. Economics becomes a form of service and devotion, fostering sustainable prosperity for all.

Core principle

Lokasamgraha

"Holding the world together." The ethical compass of Dharmanomics: every economic act is an act of service toward the well-being of all beings.

Philosophy & principles

Catur Purushartha: four aims, one foundation

Dharmanomics balances material prosperity, spiritual well-being and collective welfare.

Its foundation is Catur Purushartha: Dharma, Artha, Kāma and Moksha. Dharma is the guiding principle for how wealth is earned, used and shared, so that prosperity remains ethical, meaningful and sustainable.

Dharma

Righteousness and ethical duty

Artha

Wealth and material prosperity

Kāma

Desire and human fulfilment

Moksha

Liberation and spiritual freedom

Dharma guides the right use of Artha, fulfils Kāma with purpose, and leads toward Moksha, the ultimate liberation.

The book

Dharmanomics: Building Prosperity Based on Dharma

A conceptual and practical work that introduces a Dharma-based economic paradigm for material prosperity, social justice, spiritual growth and civilisational transformation.

It begins with the nature of human existence and life's purpose, then explores the core principles of Dharmanomics and their application in personal life, business practice and national economic systems. By integrating Vedic wisdom with contemporary realities, it bridges academia, business, spirituality and public policy.

Launched at the GHBC 2026 opening ceremony on 11 July 2026.
